Our delightful Massage Therapy Services are offered to you with the intention of naturally assisting the body to balance itself. When it comes to all natural modalities a person is treated as a whole being, instead of merely a symptom. We encourage our guests to practice prevention, consider mind, body and spirit as fundamentals of achieving health, and to truly love yourself.

We do not diagnose any illnesses, prescribe medications or make claims of healing in any form; as we believe that there is no outside source that can heal the body. Our unique, complex bodies have the innate ability to do so naturally, when not burdened with the toxins we place in it and on it. We are simply here to clear any obstacles that are blocking your path to health and wellness.

The Tranquil touch massage is a slow soothing treatment for the body. Each stroke is flowing and consistent with the next to create an intense feeling of relaxation and tranquility.

It is a beautiful unfolding dance of long graceful strokes that allow you to feel all of your daily stress and aches melt away with each gentle movement.

This type of massage is great for first time receivers of massage or for individuals who wish to receive all the therapeutic benefits, but would also like to drift away to their own tranquil solitude, not so far away from home.

The Tranquil Touch massage includes extensive emphasis on the face, head and neck; it also includes light stretching movements.

Muscular alleviation massage is a very popular massage treatment that focuses on physically breaking down adhesions in muscles, tendons and ligaments.

This type of massage is similar to the tranquil touch massage, except the strokes are deeper and sometimes slower. Generally, direct pressure is applied to a specific area, relieving pain and restoring mobility to the body.

In certain situations a feeling of discomfort may take place that is why it is very important to communicate with me, to ensure that I only work within your level of comfort.

Depending on the individual, soreness may take place 1 to 3 days following your session. It is best to drink lots of water following any massage sessions to assist the body in flushing out the toxins that have been released through the massage.

Massage of the feet is an ancient art dating back 5,000 years that has evolved to become a much more sophisticated practice. As with Eastern therapies, reflexology is based on the philosophy of Qi (also known as Chi) Reflexology is believed that the feet (and hands) are mirrors of the body.  With the stimulation of reflex points on the foot (or hand) you are able to relax and balance the whole body, as well as assist a number of minor disorders.

In 1915, Dr William H. Fitzgerald an American ear, nose and throat specialist introduced the concept of zone therapy. His theory was similar to that of reflexology; energy flows through ten vertical zones that run from head to feet. Five zones to the right of the imaginary line that runs through the center of the body and five on the left side he declared that pressure on the reflex point in the appropriate zone area on the foot could treat symptoms emanating from organs in the particular zone. He stated, “Zone therapy is not a cure all but a valuable adjunct to therapy.”

In China, studies have been carried out combining reflexology with medical treatment on children with chest infections. The studies showed that reflexology cannot only shorten the duration of the disease, but can also prevent complications. In addition, it can improve the functioning of the immune system, speed up recovery, and reduce recurrences of disease.

Imagine yourself in a complete state of relaxation and harmony. Drifting away to places you never thought you’d venture. Imagine your body being taken over by comfort and warmth, as your stress, tension, and those aches and pains begin to fade away.

Beautifully polished lava stones are gently heated and placed on beneficial points along the body to intensify the healing process and clear the bodies’ energy pathways, re-balancing the body.

The gentle heat from the stones penetrates deep in the muscle promoting release of toxins, stimulating circulation and calming the nervous system. The heated stones will also be incorporated into the massage, providing warm glides across each muscle and intricate manipulation.

This therapeutic process promotes deep muscle and tissue relaxation, improves circulation, releases toxins from the body, calms the psyche, and relieves pain. Heated Lava Stone Massage may also be useful for depression, arthritis, stress and anxiety, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Insomnia and muscular aches and pains.

This massage is specifically designed for the mother to be, and includes special bolstering or padding to provide the highest level of comfort. With this type of massage deep pressure is not recommended and there are certain areas that must be avoided to ensure the safety of you and your unborn child.

It is best to avoid any type of massage for the first trimester of your pregnancy. It is also best to consult your physician before engaging in massage during this time.

Pregnancy is a wonderful, exciting adventure that a woman embarks upon. But it does carry with it many changes throughout the body; physical, mental and emotional.

During pregnancy, massage can help to soothe nerves, eliminate waste through the lymphatic and circulatory system; which fights fatigue, reduce stress on the heart which keeps blood pressure under control, reduce muscle tightness, stiffness, tension and cramping, reduce headaches, stiff neck, backache, sciatic pain, swelling and sore feet.

Massage can also increase oxygen and nutrients to the mother and fetus, keep hormone levels stable, promote sleep which makes for a happier healthier mother to be.
