Consider this…

By Teresa Bebla on July 08, 2010 | Category: inspiration | 0 Comments »

There was…

a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She
hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always
there for her. She told her boyfriend, ‘If I could only see
the world, I will marry you.’

One day…

someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages
came off, she was able to see everything, including her
boyfriend.

He asked her…

‘Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?’ The
girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The
sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn’t expected
that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life
led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend…

left in tears and days later wrote a note to her
saying: ‘Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before
they were yours, they were mine.’

This is …

how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who
was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life…

Is a Gift

Today…

before you say an unkind word – Think of someone who can’t
speak.

Before…

you complain about the taste of your food – Think of someone
who has nothing to eat..

Before…

you complain about your husband or wife – Think of someone
who’s crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today…

before you complain about life – Think of someone who went
too early to heaven..

Before…

whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who
walks the same distance with their feet.

And when…

you are tired and complain about your job – Think of the
unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your
job.

And when…

depressing thoughts seem to get you down – Put a smile on
your face and think: you’re alive and still around

10 Thoughts on Whole Living

By Teresa Bebla on June 27, 2010 | Category: inspiration | 0 Comments »

1. Taste something straight from the tree

2. Give your way out of a bad mood-with a donation, foot massage or a compliment.

Daily chaos will never cease. Rather than struggling against it, find your own rhythm.

4. See your surroundings with fresh eyes. The best way to find yourself is to discover where you are.

5. Head outside and move. Nature invigorates the mind and body.

6. Don’t wait for inspiration to strike. Ignite your own creative fire.

7. Take a day off. The world will be fine and still there when you get back.

8. Notice your cravings for sugar, caffeine, attention. Ask yourself what you really need and why.

9. Kick off your shoes, spread your toes, and ground yourself in the present.

10. Rising to a physical challenge can make you feel powerful in every way.

I read this in a magazine I enjoyed every line of it! Great simple things to consider in our everyday lives…

Phenomenal woman

By Teresa Bebla on June 18, 2010 | Category: inspiration,poetry | 0 Comments »

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can’t see.
I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
‘Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Promise Yourself

By Teresa Bebla on June 13, 2010 | Category: inspiration,poetry | 0 Comments »

Well, I am learning the hard way that people are just not friendly! I am some what of sensitive person; I respect people, and treat them as would like to be treated. I also raise my children this way, I believe this is the way things should be. So I have gained the ability to smile in the face of the rude, because I believe that negative actions come from a place of fear.

I will always keep my head tilted up so that the sun may shine on my face! I will continue to be friendly, and thank people, say excuse me, and open a door for another individual…

I am a huge lover of poetry so I find it appropriate to end with this wonderful gift…

Promise yourself to be strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel like there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and expect only the best.

To be just enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living person you meet a smile.

To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, and too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble…
