10 Thoughts on Whole Living

By Teresa Bebla on June 27, 2010 | Category: inspiration | 0 Comments »

1. Taste something straight from the tree

2. Give your way out of a bad mood-with a donation, foot massage or a compliment.

Daily chaos will never cease. Rather than struggling against it, find your own rhythm.

4. See your surroundings with fresh eyes. The best way to find yourself is to discover where you are.

5. Head outside and move. Nature invigorates the mind and body.

6. Don’t wait for inspiration to strike. Ignite your own creative fire.

7. Take a day off. The world will be fine and still there when you get back.

8. Notice your cravings for sugar, caffeine, attention. Ask yourself what you really need and why.

9. Kick off your shoes, spread your toes, and ground yourself in the present.

10. Rising to a physical challenge can make you feel powerful in every way.

I read this in a magazine I enjoyed every line of it! Great simple things to consider in our everyday lives…

Pecan Pesto

By Teresa Bebla on June 23, 2010 | Category: Food for thought | 0 Comments »

I am such a huge fan of pesto! It is so versatile, and healthy…my favorite way to use pesto is in Paninis… We take chabatta bread, buffalo mozzarella, sun dried tomato paste, and pesto…oh my goodness these components create the best simple panini; each bite provides a burst of flavor. I usually serve these lovely paninis with homemade creamy tomato soup, it’s perfect for us dippers!

10 reasons to throw out your microwave

By Teresa Bebla on June 22, 2010 | Category: Health | 0 Comments »

From the conclusions of the Swiss, Russian & German scientific clinical studies

1. Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term, permanent brain damage by “shorting out” electrical impulses in the brain (de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissues)

2. The human body cannot metabolize (break down) the unknown byproducts created in microwaved food

3. Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods

4. The effects of microwaved food byproducts are residual (long term, permanent) within the body

5. Minerals, vitamins and nutrients of all microwaved foods are reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down.

6. The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens

7. Microwave ovens cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths (tumors). This may help explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America

8. The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood

9. Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum alterations

10. Eating microwaved foods causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and decreases intelligence

Tamanu Oil

By Teresa Bebla on June 20, 2010 | Category: ingredient spotlight | 0 Comments »

Botanical Name- Calophyllum inophyllum

Tamanu oil is a fabulous exotic gift to the world of skin care. The Tamanu tree is indigenous to tropical Southeast Asia; it is found in Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, South India, Sri Lanka, and the Melanesian and Polynesian islands. In Africa it is referred to as Foraha oil.

Tamanu and its spectacular benefits and properties have been well documented, it contains anti-neuralgic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic and antioxidant properties. Tamanu oil possesses significant antimicrobial qualities, as proven in antibacterial and anti-fungal tests.  It contains powerful bactericide and fungicide agents that defeat many pathogens.  Tamanu can be applied directly to skin, undiluted without any reports of adverse effects from its use. Tamanu oil is often compared to antibiotics and has the natural ability to alleviate the following conditions: Bladder infections, infections of the skin, Pneumonia, Abscesses, Boils, Conjunctivitis, Jock itch, Ringworm, Athlete’s foot and many others.

Tamanu oil soothes the skin, and it helps to relieve irritations including sun burn, inflammation and common rashes. It is extremely hydrating, and it also helps regenerate skin cells. Research shows that Tamanu oil is a strong anti-inflammatory. It is useful for the treatment of rheumatism, eczema and inflammatory, dry skin conditions.

It is a blessing to stretch marks and scarring, it has been documented to reduce the appearance of both issues significantly!

We use certified Organic Tamanu oil in: White Tea Jasmine Rose Bath Bar, Nature Boy Bath Bar, Caisse Bath Bar, I Hope Bath Bar & Simplicity Bath Bar.
